With 58 league matches completed, the IPL 2025 points table is heating up. Four teams are eliminated, but no team has officially qualified for the playoffs yet, making the final 12 matches crucial.
The rain-affected match between RCB and KKR at Chinnaswamy Stadium resulted in both teams sharing 1 point. With just 12 points from 13 games, KKR is now out of the playoff race. Even with a win in their final match, they can only reach 14 points.
RCB now leads the table with 17 points from 11 matches. A win in any of their last 2 games will confirm a playoff berth. If they win both, they’re likely to finish in the top two.
Punjab Kings (PBKS) play Rajasthan today. With 15 points, a win would push PBKS to second place. Losing today would mean they need two wins from their last two matches (against Delhi and Mumbai), both still in contention.
Rajasthan Royals, with only 6 points from 12 matches, are already eliminated. However, a win against Punjab could spoil PBKS’s playoff chances. If RR wins, RCB will automatically qualify for the playoffs.
Gujarat Titans (GT), with 16 points from 11 matches, face Delhi Capitals. A win today makes GT the first team to qualify. To finish in the top-2, GT must win all three remaining matches.
DC stands fifth with 13 points from 11 matches. A win today pushes them to third place. A loss would require them to win both remaining games to stay in the race.
Suryakumar Yadav (MI): 510 runs
Sai Sudharsan (GT): Needs 2 runs to take the lead
Shubman Gill (GT): 508 runs
Prasidh Krishna (GT): 20 wickets
Arshdeep Singh (PBKS): Can enter top-3 with 3 wickets today
Nicholas Pooran (LSG): 34 sixes
Shreyas Iyer (PBKS): Needs 8 sixes to lead
Riyan Parag (RR): Needs 9 sixes
