Job Overview
One of the thrust areas for Mission Samriddhi is livelihood, especially related to agriculture. The Indian farmer does not have an easy job. He needs to deal with the weather, the soil, seeds, water and the market for his produce. We have identified over 20 such variables that he deals with, day in and day out. A number of agencies, including the Government, have attempted to assist him in his endeavours, with some success.
Mission Samriddhi works closely with farmers across India, as well as in our own farms in Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. This is part of our initiative to determine various methods and processes that will enable farmers to remove some of the uncertainty with regards to their yields and finally income. With this objective in Mind, we are looking to create a Agriculture Engineering and Management Unity,within Mission Samriddhi, whose objective it would be to assist and advice farmers based on data and processes that are robust and replicable. We envision this Unit to have Agri Engineers working with Sahayaks on the field.
Our requirement is for 10 good, passionate agriculture engineers who want to improve the lot of our farmers through design-thinking, digital and data analysis, leading to development, The incumbents would go through a detailed induction in Chennai, and would then be deployed to our various locations across India. We would prefer candidates who could be posted anywhere, but if there is a location constraint, please do mention it.
