Job Description
-
Provide all counselling support, including trauma counselling, to victims of child sexual abuse, trafficking, and child marriage.

Maintain counselling records in case files.
-
Assist and inform families about case proceedings, available assistance, judicial procedures, and potential outcomes.
-
Support the child and family through legal proceedings from investigation to trial.
-
Ensure long-term rehabilitation and well-being of the child.
-
Accompany child and parents to police stations if FIR is not being registered.
-
Be present during the recording of Sec. 161 Cr.P.C statements.

Coordinate with the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) for needs assessment and rehabilitation.

Coordinate with police on case-related matters such as statements, investigation, arrest, bail, and compensation.

Ensure awareness and access to rights and support services for the child and their family.

Assess mental health needs and facilitate appropriate counselling.
-
Assess medical needs and accompany the child for medical examination.
-
Support the victim under POCSO Act as a support person as per CWC directions.
Skill Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

Qualification
-
Master’s degree in Social Work or other relevant disciplines
Experience
-
Minimum two years’ experience in child protection work
-
Freshers with relevant internships may also be considered
