About the role:-
NHS Professionals International is recruiting Mental Health Nurses (sometimes known as Psychiatric Nurse) to relocate to Northern Ireland and work for Health and Social Care, the publicly funded healthcare system in Northern Ireland.
As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will be responsible for providing a safe, effective, efficient care environment for patients in a variety of settings including alcohol and drug disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders, learning disabilities, anxiety/panic attacks, bi-polar, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Some duties may involve:
Building relationships with patients to encourage trust, while listening to and interpreting their needs and concerns
Ensuring the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitoring the results of treatment
Preparing and participating in group and/or one-to-one therapy sessions, both individually and with other health professionals
About you:-
To apply for this role, you will have/be:
- At least 6 months paid experience as a qualified Mental Health Nurse
- Registered as a Nurse and undertaking Mental Health Nursing duties in your country of residence
You may also have:
- Successfully completed and achieved a pass mark in English from either OET (level B in reading, speaking, listening, and writing C+) or IELTS Academic (level 7 in reading, speaking, and listening and level 6.5 in writing)
- Successfully completed your mental health CBT
