Responsibilities:
• Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients affected by HIV/AIDS, offering emotional support and guidance.
• Implement targeted intervention strategies as per NACO guidelines to reduce the risk of transmission among high-risk groups.
•Create and deliver group counseling sessions, workshops, and outreach programs to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.
• Collaborate with community-based organizations and healthcare facilities to ensure coordinated care for clients.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide counseling on safer sex practices and harm reduction techniques.
• Assist clients in accessing medical services, treatment, and support programs for HIV/AIDS.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to clients in urgent situations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with NACO guidelines and legal requirements.
• Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities related to HIV/AIDS counseling and intervention techniques.
• Demonstrate a non-judgmental and empathetic approach while working with clients from diverse backgrounds.
