Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed a Government-recognized ITI course of at least one year in a relevant trade.

Eligible trades include:

• Mechanic Motor Vehicle

• Mechanic Diesel

• Fitter

• Electrician

• Sheet Metal Worker

• Automobile Body Repairer

• Welder

• Welder Cum Fabricator

• Machinist

Computer Knowledge

Candidates must have basic computer knowledge demonstrated through a recognized certificate, diploma, degree, or computer subject in Class 10th/12th, as specified in the recruitment rules.

Apprenticeship

Candidates who have completed an apprenticeship in the relevant ITI trade and possess a valid NCVT certificate and mark sheet may receive additional weightage.

Age Limit

The age will be calculated as on 06 October 2026.

Minimum Age: 18 years.

Age relaxation will be applicable according to the prescribed government rules.

Application Fee

The application fee is non-refundable and is payable online.

Selection Process

The GSRTC Helper selection process will include:

2. Apprenticeship weightage, where applicable

4. Document verification

The competitive examination will carry 90% weightage, while the relevant apprenticeship certificate will carry 10% weightage.

Additional weightage may be applicable to eligible widow and sports candidates as specified in the recruitment rules.

GSRTC Helper Exam Pattern 2026

The examination will contain 100 marks and will be conducted in MCQ format.

Exam Duration: 2 Hours

The examination may be conducted through OMR or CBRT, as decided by GSRTC.
