AFCAT 02/2026 Notification Released for July 2027 Batch

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has officially released the AFCAT 02/2026 Notification for the July 2027 Course, inviting applications for Flying Branch, Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical), Weapon Systems, Meteorology, and NCC Special Entry.

Flying Branch

  • 20 to 24 Years

Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical)

  • 20 to 26 Years

Educational Qualification

Flying Branch

Candidates must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with minimum qualifying marks.

  • Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

OR

  • BE / B.Tech Degree.

Ground Duty Technical

Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics)

  • Minimum 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level.

  • Four-year Engineering Degree in relevant disciplines.

Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical)

  • Minimum 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics.

  • Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aeronautical, or related fields.

Administration & Logistics

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 60% marks.

Accounts Branch

  • B.Com Degree with minimum 60% marks.

NCC Special Entry

  • NCC Air Wing Senior Division 'C' Certificate.

  • Must satisfy Flying Branch eligibility requirements.

Physical Standards

Flying & Ground Duty

Male

  • Minimum Height: 157.5 cm

Female

  • Minimum Height: 152 cm

Candidates must meet all medical and physical standards prescribed by the Indian Air Force.

Selection Process

Stage 1: AFCAT Written Examination

Subjects include:

Stage 2: AFSB Interview
