About the Project:

With support from The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria (GFATM) and guidance from the Central TB Division, the project will:

Implement integrated pediatric TB care services in public and private health sectors to increase pediatric TB case detection and improve treatment outcomes.

Conduct Active Case Finding (ACF) for early detection of missing TB cases among key and vulnerable populations using innovative AI-enabled portable X-ray devices.

SAATHII is the Principal Recipient of the grant, and TB Alert India (TBAI) is the SR for implementation in Telangana.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead implementation of project activities at the district level.

Conduct and update situational assessments periodically.

Map and engage public and private health facilities and informal practitioners for pediatric services.

Facilitate the establishment and functioning of Hub sites in identified facilities.

Collaborate with stakeholders and government departments to increase access to pediatric TB services.

Build rapport and advocacy at the taluk/block level with relevant officials.

Ensure sample transportation for identified persons with presumptive TB at Hub Sites.

Conduct capacity building and sensitization of frontline healthcare providers and TB champions.

Coordinate with NTEP for contact tracing, arranging camps, and participating in ACF activities.

Engage TB Champions for community awareness, stigma reduction, and adherence tracking.

Track diagnosed TB cases for treatment adherence and completion.

Maintain records, collect data, and compile program activity information.

Document progress of performance indicators and represent them in community and block forums.

Monitor and support project activities at various healthcare levels through field visits.

Increase private sector pediatric TB reporting through visits and engagement.

Cover neighboring districts in a phased manner in Years 2 and 3.

Perform any other activities and responsibilities as required by the project and organization.

Qualifications and Skills:

Postgraduate/Graduate in Social Work, Social Science, Public Health, or Management.

Minimum 3-4 years of experience in implementing health-related programs at the district level, preferably in TB.

Understanding of TB or any public health program and public/private health sector functioning.

Ability to engage stakeholders from multiple sectors at the district level.

Experience using Excel and project data in program management.

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and working knowledge of regional language.

Willingness to be based in district headquarters and travel frequently to project geographies and state headquarters.

Basic computer skills, including Internet, MS Office (Excel/Word & PowerPoint).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a complex, multicultural environment.

Remuneration:

Compensation adheres to internal policies and market standards, determined by qualifications, relevant experience, and up to a maximum of Rs. 35,000 (CTC) per month. Subject to last drawn salary and internal parity.
